Nach sieben Jahren Pause gibt es neue Musik in Form des neuen Albums 'Rushmere'. Und bald kommt schon das nächste.
Mumford & Sons zurück mit neuer Musik...und Banjo!
Es war ein gutes Jahr für Mumford & Sons Fans. Nach sieben Jahren Pause kam erst neue Musik in des neuen Albums Rushmere, das den Signature Sound der Band aus London zurückbringt. Auch Banjo ist wieder da! Und neben einer Tour in diesem Herbst/Winter gab es dann als Kirsche on top noch die Ankündigung: Es wird schon bald wieder ein neues Album geben. Prizefighter kommt im Februar 2026 raus und die erste Single daraus – "Rubber Band Man" – haben Mumford & Sons mit ihrem langjährigen Freund Hozier aufgenommen."Great guy, the best, one of the absolute best. We've been friends for a long time. He's one of the people I admire most in music cause he's got real integrity. He's just as wonderful a person as you would imagine and hope he would be and he's probably the kindest person in music we know. We collaborated a number of times live, we played shows together, we jumped up on each others' songs before, we just had a real friendship and that's just what this collaboration came out of, really. And he came in and made Rubber Band Man his own, with us. And we've been really excited to show it to people." - Mumford and Sons
Es folgen viele Kollaborationen auf Prizefighter von Mumford & Sons
Und es wird nicht die einzige Kollaboration auf dem Album bleiben: Gracie Abrams, Gigi Perez oder Chris Stapleton sind Gäste und produziert wurde mit Aaron Dessner von The National. Jetzt freut sich die Band aber erstmal, auf Tour ein großes Wiedersehen mit ihren Fans zu feiern und natürlich auch schon einige der neuen Songs zu zeigen:"Yeah, absolutely! I mean a huge part of what we do it for has been touring and being with people [...] singing together, smiling together, sharing those moments. It's a real blessing, it's a real gift that we get to do this. We've ben tourig a lot this year and we've been waiting patiently to get out into Europe and play these shows. [...] We are gonna turn up in the best version of ourselves and hopefully leave memories behind that people will be able to cherish." - Mumford and Sons
